Common Questions

Everything You Need
to Know

Do I need a visa to visit China? +
Most nationalities require a Chinese tourist visa (L visa). We provide full visa application guidance and support as part of every booking. As of 2025, many countries also benefit from China's expanded visa-free entry policy — contact us to check your nationality.
What is the best time to visit China? +
Spring (April–May) and autumn (September–October) are ideal across most of China — mild temperatures, good visibility, and fewer crowds than summer. Tibet is best June–September. We can advise on the optimal season based on your specific itinerary.
Are tours private or group? +
We offer both. All our tours can run as fully private departures (just you, or your group) with a dedicated guide. We also offer small group tours (max 8–12 people) on fixed departure dates for solo travelers and couples. You can filter by preference when booking.
What level of physical fitness is required? +
Difficulty varies by tour. Each card shows a 3-dot difficulty rating. Most Classic tours require only moderate walking. Adventure and Tibet tours require good fitness. The Tibet tour involves altitudes above 5,000m and requires acclimatization days. We're happy to recommend the right level for you.
What's included in the tour price? +
All our tours include: 4–5 star hotel accommodation, all internal transport (high-speed rail, private transfers, domestic flights where applicable), English-speaking expert guides, all entrance fees, and 24/7 on-trip support. International flights and personal travel insurance are not included.
Can I customize any of the listed itineraries? +
Absolutely — in fact, we encourage it. Every listed tour is a starting point. You can add destinations, extend nights, upgrade hotels, swap activities, or combine multiple itineraries. Just contact us and we'll tailor it to your exact preferences.
How do I pay and what is the cancellation policy? +
A 30% deposit secures your booking. The balance is due 60 days before departure. Cancellations more than 60 days before departure receive a full refund. We also strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance, which we can help arrange.
Do your guides speak English? +
Yes — all our guides are fluent English speakers with deep knowledge of Chinese history, cuisine, and culture. Many have university degrees in tourism or history. We also have guides who speak French, German, Spanish, and Japanese — please ask if needed.
